Construction Project Estimator

A free budgeting tool for Lehigh Valley projects. Answer three questions and get a ballpark range — then turn it into real, written quotes.

Enter the square footage of the project area itself (e.g. your kitchen), not your whole house. For roofing, use your roof’s approximate footprint.

How the estimate is built

The estimator multiplies a per-square-foot cost range for your project type by the size you enter, adjusted for the finish level you choose. The per-square-foot ranges are broad planning figures drawn from widely published national remodeling cost data — they are meant to put you in the right ballpark, not to price your specific job.

What the estimate can’t know

Every home is different. The estimator can’t see your home’s condition, local labor rates, permit fees, structural surprises, or the materials you’ll choose. That’s why the next step matters: request itemized written quotes from contractors who can price your actual project. Use the ballpark to sanity-check the quotes you receive — and read our guide on how to read a contractor quote before you compare.

Important: the range above is a rough budgeting estimate, not a binding quote. It should never be treated as a price commitment from any contractor. Final project costs depend on materials, finishes, labor rates, permits, and site conditions. Written, itemized contractor quotes are the only real numbers.
