Timeline Expectations in 2024

"It will be done in two weeks." Those are famous last words in construction. Reality is often slower, especially in today's supply chain environment.

Kitchen Remodel: 6-10 Weeks

This includes demolition, rough mechanicals, drywall, and finish. The biggest hold-up? Cabinetry. Custom cabinets can take 12 weeks to arrive, so do not demo your old kitchen until the new boxes are sitting in your garage.

Bathroom: 3-5 Weeks

Smaller space, but high density of trades (plumber, tiler, electrician, painter). Coordination takes time. Drying times for waterproofing and tile mortar cannot be rushed.

Room Addition: 3-5 Months

This is major surgery for your house. Foundation pouring is weather-dependent. Framing goes fast, but inspections at every stage (footing, framing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, insulation, final) add weeks of downtime waiting for city officials.
